Tracy Wells Spotted Running Errands In LA Decades After ’80s Sitcom Stardom

Tracy Wells is best known for her role as Heather Owens on the hit ‘80s sitcom Mr. Belvedere. She was recently spotted running errands in Los Angeles, and keeping it casual while grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s. The 56-year-old looked almost unrecognizable decades after her time in the spotlight.

She wore a denim shirt over a white t-shirt with black leggings, appearing effortlessly stylish and relaxed. She completed the look with a pair of Nike sneakers and wore her brunette hair in a simple updo. Fans who remember Wells as the teenage daughter in Mr. Belvedere were delighted to see her enjoying a laid-back outing with her husband, Frank Bernardo.

Wells left the entertainment industry after Mr. Belvedere and appearances on shows like Silver Spoons and Growing Pains. She retired from the entertainment field and ventured into the real estate business under her married name, Tracy Tofte.

Although she remains private, Wells has occasionally reminisced about her Hollywood days and how Mr. Belvedere made an impact on fans. The ABC sitcom that ran from 1985 to 1990 revolved around an English butler adapting to life with an American household. With a well-cast group of actors, including Christopher Hewett and Bob Uecker, the program is still a nostalgic favorite among many.

Tracy Wells’ Hollywood legacy

Although Wells is not in the acting industry anymore, her popularity as a beloved 80s actress remains. She won a Young Artist Award for her work on Mr. Belvedere, making her mark on television. She had embraced real estate and living as a family woman, shunning the limelight mostly.

While she has since distanced herself from Hollywood, Wells’s audience remains affectionate towards her and appreciative of her contribution to classic television. Her most recent appearance in Los Angeles is an indication of how long she had been in front of the camera and that previous stars can continue thriving at other ends of their careers.
