Ella Bleu Travolta misses her late mother, Kelly Preston. The 24-year-old often expresses her emotions through singing and songwriting. Since her mother passed away in 2020, Ella has channeled her grief into music and wants to help others who may be experiencing similar situations.
From an early age, Ella found inspiration in timeless classics. One of the first songs she learned to play on the ukulele was “Moon River” from the 1961 movie Breakfast. Between 2017 and 2018, with the help of YouTube tutorials, she mastered Edith Piaf’s “La Vie en Rose.”
Ella Bleu Travolta’s music career

Music has always held a special place in Ella Bleu Travolta’s life, and her connection to the ukulele runs deeper than just learning songs. Her late mother, actress Kelly Preston, had Hawaiian roots, exposing Ella to the islands’ sounds from a young age. The singer’s father, John Travolta, also encouraged her, and she became more passionate about songwriting.
Ella Bleu Travolta’s debut EP, Colors of Love, features six songs exploring different dimensions of love. Before finalizing the songs, she shared them with her father, and his encouragement fueled her confidence, leading her to refine and record them over four years. The EP features her 2022 debut single, “Dizzy,” included in the movie Just Seconds Apart, and the song “No Thank You.” Each song tells a different love story, whether it be a fleeting romance, heartbreak, or the deep emotions that come with loss and healing. Ella describes “Dizzy” and “No Thank You” as capturing admiration and infatuation.
