Tina Yothers rare appearance was at the front of her home in Los Angeles, taking out the trash on a sunny day. She wore black pants, a black long-sleeve shirt, sneakers, and glasses, keeping her look casual and simple. Her appearance stood in stark contrast to her public image during her acting days.

Her hairstyle, however, reminded fans of  Jennifer Keaton, the role she played on Family Ties. Her bangs and blonde hair were similar to that of the Family Ties character, though she now keeps her cut shorter. Fans complimented her saying she aged well and she still appears youthful.

She left acting for music

Yothers became popular for her role as Jennifer Keaton on Family Ties, which aired from 1982 to 1989. Her superb acting in the show made her stand out. After the show ended, Yothers later made appearances in other TV series like Father Murphy and Married… with Children, but her focus shifted when she decided to leave acting in the mid-1990s. Instead of continuing her acting career, Yothers pursued a passion for music. She formed a band called Jaded and focused on a rock music career. However, her band didn’t gain major fame.

Later on, Yothers also appeared on reality TV shows like Celebrity Fit Club, where she worked on her health and weight, Celebrity Wife Swap, and What Not to Wear. These shows brought her back into the spotlight, but she still kept a low profile compared to her earlier years in Hollywood. The most recent public event she attended was in 2023, when she was photographed alongside Michael J. Fox at his A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s gala.
