Judd Nelson Looks A Far Cry From ‘Breakfast Club’ Days During Rare Appearance

The 1985 movie The Breakfast Club featured a cast of rising stars, and one of its most memorable faces was Judd Nelson. He was recently spotted going about his day in Los Angeles and looked a far cry from his rebellious portrayal of John Bender.

Judd starred alongside Emilio Estévez, Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, and Ally Sheedy in the coming-of-age drama about five students bonding during a day in detention. Some members of the cast reunited last year for a documentary, but Judd was absent.

Judd has maintained a low profile in recent years as he rarely made any public appearances. He was seen out and about days ago, sporting a dark beard with gray highlights. He kept warm in a medium-length coat, a navy fleece, blue jeans, and a hat. Despite having a successful trajectory in both movies and TV, it has been a while since he appeared in any major productions.

His preference for a quieter life has even led to bizarre rumors about his death, as in 2014, a hoax article falsely claimed that he was found dead in West Hollywood. To debunk the claims, Judd’s manager and friend Gregg Klein shared a photo of him holding a copy of the LA Times, confirming that he was alive and well.

Judd Nelson’s Hollywood journey

Judd Nelson’s career took off in the 1980s with The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo’s Fire, cementing his place as a member of the infamous Brat Pack. Over the years, he has appeared in various films and TV shows.

Judd has also lent his voice to animated hits like Transformers, Ben 10, and Phineas and Ferb. His absence from last year’s Brat Pack reunion for the Andrew McCarthy-directed documentary raised questions, but Judd responded by saying he is not interested in revisiting the past.
