American actor Dennis Quaid has made the news for being among those affected by the fire blazing in California. Earlier this week, while trying to evacuate his home, an NBC LA reporter, Robert Kovacik, interrupted Dennis to get an interview.
The reporter asked Dennis to describe what was going on and Dennis narrated how the smoke started and the immediate response of the firefighters. He mentioned they had evacuated earlier this week but had to return with his dog to get some of his daughter’s belongings. Dennis advised residents to turn off their gas.
Reactions to Dennis Quaid’s interview as he frantically tries to evacuate
Fans did not welcome the interview by Robert and saw his actions as insensitive considering the situation at hand. They called him out on X, calling him tone-deaf. “I’m embarrassed for the guy interviewing Dennis Quaid on the news. He’s trying to evacuate just like everyone else, and you’re trying to make him your BFF.” someone commented.
Fans also praise Dennis’s composure during the interrupting interview. “This interview was an odd mix of bizarre, comical, touching, and somewhat uncomfortable…but what I learned from it is that Dennis Quaid seems like a nice fella,” a second person wrote, while another called Dennis a stand-up dude.
Other celebrities affected by the LA fires
Adam Brody and Leighton Meester’s $6.5 million home has been affected by the LA fires, as videos show damages caused by the blaze. Eugene Levy confirmed to the L.A. Times that his multi-million dollar mansion had also burned down, adding that he could hardly see the flames because the smoke was dark and intense.
Members of the Kardashian household have reportedly fled their home; however, there is no confirmation on the state of their property. Cameron Mathison made it known on Instagram that he and his family are safe, but nothing is left of the home where he raised his kids and intended to raise his grandchildren.
