Chapman also took a moment to reflect on Bill Byrge’s humble beginning. She explained that despite facing the challenges of poverty in his early life, Byrge’s upbringing instilled in him a strong sense of love, respect, and faith. Chapman concluded her emotional tribute with a touching message, expressing her deep love and admiration for Byrge, “Heaven gained a sweet soul today,” she wrote. “Love you, Billy. See you soon!”

In an interview with PEOPLE, Chapman shared that Byrge, who spent his entire career working at a library in Nashville, made his entry into the entertainment industry through a chance encounter. A producer for the Ernest movies spotted him walking down the street one day and was immediately drawn to his unique personality and charisma.
