Days after Wayne Osmond’s death, his sister Marie Osmond paid him tribute on social media. Wayne died of a stroke on January 1 in Salt Lake City, and Marie, who has been away from social media, resurfaced a week after to celebrate him for a life well lived.
Marie shared a picture of her and Wayne, showing a simple but happy moment as they let out huge smiles. She felt grateful for having listened to the spirit that compelled her to go spend time with Wayne a few weeks ago. She gushed about how great Wayne was as a brother, a father, and a friend.

Wayne began singing as a barbershop quartet with three of his brothers, Alan, Merrill, and Jay, in 1958. The brothers piqued the interest of Jay Emerson Williams during one of their performances at Disneyland three years later, after which they would go on to appear on NBC’s The Andy William Show.
Wayne played the guitar and other instruments, including the drums, alongside his siblings. He learned and played eight instruments in his lifetime. The late icon also found solo successful as a producer and actor, with credits in the likes of 2013’s Harrigan.
