The co-producers of American Pickers, Cineflix, have put out a press release calling for new pickers to officially join the show in North Carolina. This comes after the closure of Mike Wolfe’s antique storefront, Antique Archaeology, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Although the closure was temporary, with his LeClaire branch in Iowa still open, fans were worried about what it meant for the continuity of American Pickers. Mike appeared at the operating location with a classic Santa Claus suit and branded items for holiday deals.
Why was Mike Wolfe’s store closed?

Antique Archaeology’s official Instagram announced that the Nashville store was shut down due to construction issues; however, it was back up the next day. “We are so sorry for the inconvenience and look forward to seeing y’all soon!” they wrote.
Customers can purchase holiday-branded items such as hats, mugs, coasters, and shirts. Mike attributes the popularity of his store to the success of American Pickers, which is currently in its 26th season. He recalled how more people flocked into the store for t-shirts and hats when it was just him and picker Danielle Colby working there.
What is the fate of ‘American Pickers?’
American Pickers has undergone changes over the years, such as the death of Frank Fritz, who has been a fan favorite since joining in 2010. He took a hiatus due to health issues in 2020 but never returned before his passing this year. Frank’s spot was given to Mike’s brother Robbie Wolfe and guests like Jersey Jon.
Danielle, who managed the Antique Archaeology storefront, has also been a constant face on American Pickers, but fans fear her potential retirement due to her absence from filming season 26. Danielle seems to be pursuing her passion for burlesque and her podcast, which may require her full attention in the coming times.
