Former couple Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin reunited briefly on Saturday for their daughter Apple Martin’s society debut at the Les Bal des Debutantes. Gwyneth wore a sheer black dress with gold jewelry, while Chris opted for a matching suit with a white shirt and bow tie.
Apple looked elegant in a custom powder blue Valentino gown, which reportedly took the creative director Alessandro Michele 750 hours to make. The 20-year-old kept her jewelry and makeup minimal and left her blonde hair in a half-up, half-down style during the event.
Fans react to Apple Martin’s society debut in Paris
Gwyneth shared her proud mother moments on Instagram over the weekend, showing off shots ranging from the trip to Paris to family photos starring Chris, Apple’s grandmother Blythe Danner, and her younger brother Moses. Model Boris Kodjoe and designer David Netto were also spotted posting with Danner.
Fans made thousands of comments under Gwyneth’s update, congratulating Apple and her parents. “Thank you for sharing such a lovely time! You and your family are lovely…your mother, always one of my favorite actresses, is such a beautiful lady!” someone gushed, while another was shocked at how fast Apple and Moses grew up.
Apple Martin’s life update
Apple, who turned 20 in May, is Gwyneth and Chris’ first of two children from their 12-year-long marriage. Like her parents, she is also in show business as a singer-songwriter, with credits on “Let Somebody Go” from Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres album. At 12, she performed Ariana Grande’s “Just A Little Bit Of Your Heart” alongside Chris at a Boys & Girls Club fundraiser in Malibu, California.
She is a student at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee and just completed her freshman year. Apple keeps a private social media presence and prefers to keep her personal business out of the spotlight; however, Gwyneth’s update celebrates her being among the 20 women from ages 16-22 who are introduced to society.
