Jay Leno Suffers Bad Fall And Hits His Head On A Rock, Sustaining ‘Brutal’ Injuries

Jay Leno showed up to the Palace Theatre in Pittsburgh for his show sporting a black eye patch, and this time it was not a prop for comedic effect. While the black eye patch raised eyebrows, his fresh injuries set off alarm bells among fans and the media.

Unknown to his fans and audience at the event, the 74-year-old, who has a long list of previous injuries, suffered a fall on his way to get dinner just hours before his show. The comedian sprained his wrist and appeared with a bruised face to perform his gig

Jay Leno hits his head on a rock

Jay Leno shared a detailed account of his recent accident. He was staying at a hotel on a hill, but the restaurant was located at the bottom. Instead of taking a 1.5-mile walk because he didn’t have a car, Leno decided to take a shorter route. However, this decision led to a tumble down the hill, with his head hitting a rock. “I am all black and blue from 60 feet of hitting rocks,” he lamented.

Despite the severity of his injuries, the comedian was determined not to disappoint his audience. “When you have 2,600 people waiting on you, the show must go on, he said.” He waited till after his show before seeking medical attention, brushing off his injuries as not a “big deal.”

Fans are worried about his health

While many have praised Leno for his strength and dedication to fans, there has also been increased concern about his health and safety. The former Tonight Show host has stacked up quite a number of critical injuries in the last couple of years. In January 2023, he was knocked off his bike, which left him with fractures in multiple parts of his body.

Just a few months earlier, in November 2022, a car in his garage caught fire, leaving him with third-degree burns. Fans are worried about the effect these accidents may be taking on his health, they hope Leno will take the time to prioritize his health and safety in the years ahead. But perhaps it is time for Leno to slow down a bit.
