Quincy Jones’ family recently received a posthumous Oscar award on his behalf at the Governors Awards event in Los Angeles. Other celebrities at the Oscars who got prestigious accolades include Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, filmmaker Richard Curtis, and casting director Juliet Taylor.
Although mourning his loss, Quincy’s daughter Rashida Jones read the speech he had prepared a month ago, noting that her father shaped the musical landscape across multiple genres in the past seven decades. Other stars like Jamie Foxx, and Jennifer Hudson also paid tribute to Quincy through words and music rendition on stage.
