Martha Stewart’s documentary release has caused a stir online and among her family, as the wife of her ex-husband, Andrew Stewart, has come forward to share her thoughts. In the film Martha, Martha accused her former husband of being a serial cheat and advised women to walk away should their spouse have extra-marital affairs.
Nelson Stewart took to Facebook to clap back at the lifestyle mogul, debunking her claims and praising her current husband, Andrew. While Martha has yet to respond to Nelson, her friend Kathy Tatlock clarified that her relationship with Andrew was always strained, hence Martha’s experience.
Andrew Stewart’s wife claims Martha Stewart was abusive
Nelson noted that Andrew’s marriage to Martha ended over 40 years ago; however, the latter continues to dwell on it and publicly defame her husband. She insinuated that Martha was an abusive partner to Andrew, who has since moved on to create a blended family of five children with her.
In Andrew’s defense, Nelson described how much of a contrast he is from what Martha portrayed in her Netflix film, noting that he is kind, purposeful, and grateful. She called out Martha for being in denial of Andrew’s positive aspects in a bid to publicly spite him.
What did Martha Stewart say about her ex-husband?
Martha mentioned in her documentary that her marriage to Andrew was plagued by infidelity, although her ex-husband did not begin his affairs until he learned about hers. She confessed to entertaining a stranger shortly after their wedding but dismissed it as nothing because it was not a full-blown affair.

Kathy explained that the timing of Martha and Andrew’s romance may have hindered their mutual understanding, as they were both building their lives at the time. Martha was reportedly very critical of him and his appearance, while he handled her as one of his businesses rather than a lover.
