Dolly Parton is set to fulfill her promise to the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, after she turned down an invitation to have tea with her late last year. The singer declined dining with the royal based on her busy schedule and claimed that she would find a more appropriate and convenient time in the future.
It’s been a tough year for Kate Middleton and her family, as she battled cancer for most of the year, but thankfully it is in remission now. Being a caring person, Dolly has publicly declared that she wants to host them and take the stress off the princess and her children so they can have maximum fun before the year runs out.
Dolly Parton invites royal children to Dollywood
Dolly recently revealed in an interview with Closer Weekly, that she would like to host the Kate and her children, George, Charlotte and Louis, in her Dolly Park, this December. The amusement park is located in Dolly’s home state, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and it is named after the singer.
It seems Dolly has it all planned out as she revealed during her discussion that she would love to give “Kate her mashed potatoes.” The singer recently co-authored a cookbook with her sister, and one can tell that she is committed to healthy eating. It’s no surprise that she has a detailed menu list as part of her plans for hosting the royals.
Dolly Parton’s plan for hosting the royal children
Dolly Parton is going all out for the planned event as she noted that the kids would have a swell time at the park as the “Kids could go on all the rides, and we would treat them like royalty!” while they enjoy the cool ambiance in the park.
The singer concluded that she just wants to ensure that they get the best treatment and have a fun experience. “I wouldn’t put on any airs for them,” she noted. “I would just let them enjoy what we enjoy, and I’m sure that’s the way they would want it. I would love to have those kids at Dollywood.”
Although Dolly has made her intention known, it is unsure currently if the royal family will honor the invitation. If they do, it will be a great experience for the kids, and Kate will also get to relax and unwind.
