Riley Keough has been busy all month with media rounds to promote her mother’s posthumous memoir, From Here to the Great Unknown. During her chat with Oprah Winfrey about the book and her upbringing, Riley broke down in tears as she hit an emotional moment.
She had helped her mother finish up the memoir, listening to tapes and reading her diaries to complete the plot. While discussing Lisa Marie’s love life with the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, Riley was moved to tears as her mom’s voice played in the background.
Lisa Marie Presley loved Michael Jackson dearly
Oprah marveled at the fact that Lisa Marie got to live in two historical places—Graceland as Elvis Presley’s daughter and Neverland Ranch as Jackson’s wife—in her lifetime. Riley responded, confirming that her late mom was obsessed with the pop icon and that she would run and dress up when he was coming home.
Oprah replied with a snippet from Lisa Marie’s tapes where she gushed about her ex-husband, and Riley could not hold back her tears. Lisa Marie said Jackson was always super interested in people and would uplift them at every chance he got. She added that there was no limit to Jackson’s humility despite his celebrity status.
