Billy Crystal cannot forget the late Princess Diana’s reaction to a scene from When Harry Met Sally at its London premiere. He joked that her response to Meg Ryan’s orgasm-faking scene was a good reason to cancel a second date were they together.
Ryan had to re-do the deli scene so many times, so much that Billy ate as many as 27 sandwiches while she was at it. For a first-time lead role, Ryan did such an impressive job at portraying Sally that she earned a Golden Globe nomination for it.

Diana sat next to Billy and Ryan in the theater, looking gorgeous in her electric red dress. Being one of the biggest public figures of her time, the audience looked forward to her reaction when the deli scene came on. It featured Ryan’s Sally demonstrating how women fake orgasms at New York’s Katz’s Deli.
Once the scene came on, necks turned below the balcony with all eyes on Diana, who let out a hysterical and embarrassing laugh. Billy mimicked this guffaw on The View, and it sounded like something you would not expect from a royal.
