Kathie Lee Gifford has had a quite challenging life dealing with certain health issues despite her career success. The singer previously struggled with chronic arthritis, which caused her pains and restricted her ability to move freely.

To deal with the pain and mobility issue, the 70-year-old opted for hip replacement surgery in 2021, which improved her quality of life, and she has since been recovering from her surgery. However, she recently experienced a significant setback after suffering a fall that led to her fracturing her hip.

Due to the strenuous activity she had undertaken weeks before, which involved moving tons of books on her own during recent book signing events in Nashville. Gifford noted that this exertion likely contributed to the vulnerability of her pelvis as the muscles that were supposed to support her were fatigued already, thus making the injury from the fall more severe.
