Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox took to social media to celebrate their co-star Lisa Kudrow, who turned 61 this week. Aniston’s post went up first as she shared a throwback photo of herself and Lisa to her Instagram story. The snap was from the set of Friends, a much younger Lisa looked adorable as Phoebe Buffay in a superwoman costume.
Next came Cox’s post, featuring a gorgeous picture of herself and Kudrow with the caption, “Happy Birthday my loot! Couldn’t love you more.” Aniston also followed up with bloopers of Kudrow during the filming of Friends, noting that her laughter is hilarious.
The cast of Friends, which includes David Schwimmer, Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and the late Matthew Perry, took their bond beyond work and into real life. The ladies Aniston, Cox and Kudrow have been a tight trio, with the first two being best friends.
Years back, the ladies revealed that they keep in touch via a group chat just for them ladies and try to catch up from time to time. They have seen each other through various life transitions, such as marriage, divorce, breakups and childbirth. They also stood by each other after losing their castmate, Perry, to acute effects of ketamine overdose last October.
Kudrow was not always confident about her appearance as she struggled with body dysmorphia during the filming of Friends. She admitted to comparing her body with that of Aniston and Cox, which made her spiral further. She tried to lose weight by eating less, which led to frequent illnesses and weakness.
Decades later, Kudrow has developed a kinder outlook on her body and now embraces the reality of aging as a good thing. Unlike many celebrities, she has steered clear of plastic surgery and extreme cosmetic procedures, noting that her moisturizer works just fine at plumping her face up.
