Madonna shared rare pictures of herself and her dad, Silvio Ciccone, and fans could not get over the resemblance they both share. She posted a picture carousel to wish Silvio a happy birthday as he turned 93. A few were recent, while most were throwbacks from Silvio’s younger days and one wholesome family picture.
The first couple of snaps seemed to be from Madonna’s just-concluded tour as she threw her arms around Silvio, who supported himself with a cane. He wore a checkered shirt and black pants held up by suspenders, and a glammed-up Madonna stood by his side in a lacy outfit.

The tribute got nearly half a million likes and over 10,000 comments from fans, who joined her to celebrate Silvio. “Happy birthday to the man who brought the queen to earth,” a user wrote. “So nice to see your Dad. I know he is proud of you. He looks great for 93 with those Italian genes haha,” another added.
Some users pointed out the similarities between Madonna and her dad, noting that they have matching facial features. “I never realize how much you look like your father until I saw the last picture,” a fan pointed out, referring to a black and white photo of Silvio as a young adult.
Madonna ensures to appreciate people in her life, including Silvio who she credits for teaching her “to be a survivor.” On Father’s Day last year, Madonna gushed about his “unrelenting work ethic,” which her own daughter, Lourdes Leon has praised her for, proving she learned to be diligent from her old man.
