“The one thing that I never imagined could happen to me did,” Chynna captioned her YouTube post about her latest surgery. “I am so upset with myself for not seeing the writing on the wall. During her walk, Chynna elaborated on her medical history. “I have a tumor in my left leg. I’ve had it since I was a little girl,” she shared. “They don’t know if I was born with it or not. It’s totally benign, but it is large.” Indeed, she added, “I’m talking very, very large. It’s like 14 inches long and 4 inches wide.”
The video was shared on April 22, which Chynna confirmed was eight weeks away from the procedure, which was causing her increasing anxiety due to requiring anesthesia.
“I am absolutely petrified of anesthesia,” Chynna admitted, “and I don’t know, I just feel like it’s the closest thing to death going under. I mean, it actually is. It’s the closest thing to being dead, which is probably not the best way for me to be processing anesthesia but I can’t help it.”
The singer and actress has found strength in faith after several health scares
Chynna finds comfort in her faith, saying, “I know that Jesus can help me with this if I radically surrender. you know.” But, she added, “it just sucks they have to make a brand-new incision, and I already have a huge 1-foot scar on my left leg, and now I’m going to have one on the interior of my left leg.”
That’s because Chynna is very familiar with having this leg operated on. This May procedure is the fifth surgery she’s undergone for that limb. “Look I’m not complaining I’m just saying I’ve had lots of surgeries,” she insisted, “I’m sick of it. I don’t like anesthesia and I’m just kind of going in kicking and screaming.”
In the video, readying for a new scar on a new part of her leg, Chynna called it “frustrating,” but believed “it’s all going to work out just fine. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
