Elvis’ Granddaughter Riley Keough Drops Jaws In New Photo Ahead Of Upcoming Movie

Daisy Jones & the Six star Riley Keough looked unrecognizable as she rocked a new look for her role in the movie Sasquatch Sunset. The 34-year-old granddaughter of Rock ‘n’ Roll king Elvis Presley posted a photo of her in a wrinkled hairy mask with a beard, and her hands stuck out with a peace sign.

For the film, she had gone full-on Bigfoot with the mask and leaves stuck to her body. She previously promoted the project, which also stars Jesse Eisenberg, in the same mask. “It was one of the more challenging things I’ve ever done, like, physically. If you took a few steps in the suit, you were out of breath,” Riley admitted in January.

Sasquatch Sunset debuted at the Sundance Festival early this year and got a limited release on April 12 before it was available for wider viewing the following week. The film tells the story of “a family of Sasquatches in the misty forests of North America” that “find themselves on a collision course with the ever-changing world around them.”

Riley’s co-star Jesse detailed how hard it was getting into their Bigfoot costume, as well as having to sit down for up to two hours for makeup. “It sounds like I’m asking for pity, I’m not, but kind of I am,” he said. “You get glue on every single part of your face because the makeup is so amazing, but it has to really kind of fit with every single twitch of your face.”

In preparation for her role, Riley went to “sasquatch bootcamp” with Jesse, Nathan Zellner, and Christophe Zajac-Denek. “Everything was super helpful because I didn’t know how to even prepare for this. We kind of had to learn how to do everything as a sasquatch,” she recalled. “So, by the time we got to set, we knew how to pick things up properly, or how to get from sitting to standing. We had practiced all of that.”

Nathan buttressed Riley’s recollection about the camp, narrating how they “just had days where we were rolling on the floor with a bunch of ferns and feeding each other food, or hitting each other with sticks.”

“We came up with a vocabulary that we would use. Calling out for other sasquatches was a high-pitched squeak, while anger or eating had a different kind of vocal quality,” Jesse quipped.
