Nickelodeon Child Star Recreates Sally Field’s Bunny Suit ‘Playboy’ Photo

Sally Field’s Bunny Suit

Madisyn Shipman is known for her childhood role as Kenzie Bell in Nickelodeon’s Game Shakers, which lasted three seasons between 2015 and 2019. The child star shared a photo of herself as a Playboy bunny last Valentine’s, and she narrated the wholesome story behind her cupid-themed outfit to Fox News Digital.

Last year, Shipman announced her commitment to Playboy’s online platform, which allows its creators to “express themselves, their creativity, and their sexualities unapologetically.” The 21-year-old told the news outlet she was torn between choosing a red or black suit until someone found a pink vintage one in the basement.

Shipman, not knowing “whose suit it was” and thinking it “was just a one-off,” tried it on, and it fit perfectly. “I’m like, ‘Oh my God, this is beautiful.’ It’s got beautiful wings on it. The structure, the way that this suit was created, it took me back to a time,” she gushed. “I was thinking late ‘80s, early ’90s, maybe early 2000s. But we were just guessing around.”

Two days before the shoot, Shipman stumbled on a Facebook photo of Steel Magnolias actress Sally Field in the same outfit. “The fact that I have her suit, and I’ve been wearing it, and it’s been tailored to my body was wild. It was a whole fiasco of whether I could even wear the suit for these photos,” she recalled, feeling elated to have recreated the Oscar winner’s look. “It was kind of a rushed experience of what was going to happen with this suit.”

In Shipman’s words, wearing the costume, that Sally intended to wear for her 1986 cover, was “truly just the most beautiful experience of my life.” The film star ended up wearing a similar black suit for the magazine, with her shots in the pink one remaining unpublished. “There’s so much honor that I have and respect that I have for Sally Field,” Shipman raved. “I’m so beyond grateful that I have the honor of wearing her suit. It was perfectly made for her. It’s only been worn by her and me, which is crazy.”

Since joining the Playboy platform, Shipman has become one of the leading content creators also known as “bunnies.” Although transitioning from a Nickelodeon star into eye candy “is a whole 180,” it was “my chance to reclaim my sexuality.”

“I’m sure a lot of people didn’t see that coming. This has been a way for me to reclaim my power and say, ‘I’m proud of what I have,” she admitted. “I’m grateful. I love my body. I’m so confident in myself.”
