Actor Liam Neeson’s son, Daniel, whom he shares with his late wife, Natasha Richardson, had fans commenting on an old black-and-white father-son photo showing their uncanny resemblance. “Like father, like son,” he captioned the shot.
His followers flooded his comments with praise and expressed delight at Daniel’s relationship with Liam. Many also expressed their condolences since Natasha is no longer in the picture after dying from epidural hematoma following a skiing accident in Quebec.
Liam shares an admirable bond with his 27-year-old son, Daniel, who comes after his older brother Micheal. Daniel has proven to be ambitious, with a bachelor’s degree in theater and digital media production and his eco-friendly clothing line, Pine Outfitters, which he launched while in junior college. At the time, he admitted to feeling like his brand was a “big cliché” as “another celebrity son doing a fashion line.”
The Taken star has supported his sons, particularly Daniel, whose outfits he rocked and spoke about on Live With Kelly and Mark. To Daniel, he is “not just a supportive father, but he’s been very supportive in terms of the business as well.” Unlike his brother, who has featured in movies like 2013’s Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Vox Lux, Made in Italy, and Cold Pursuit— alongside Liam, Daniel thought fashion was “honestly the last industry” he could venture into. “I always wanted to be a producer in the entertainment industry or a hockey player or something like that,” he told PEOPLE.
Life was not the same after Liam and his sons lost Natasha. Recently, Daniel marked the 15th anniversary of his mother’s passing with a photo of her and a touching note expressing how much he looks forward to reuniting. “For now, I take solace in knowing you’re beside me every step of the way,” he wrote. “Hopefully, I’m making you proud.”
Daniel, who also owns a tequila brand, hoped Natash would be proud of his margarita skills. “The OG margarita mama! As a kid, I used to ask her for a sip of hers, and she would gently say not till you’re older,” he said. “Little did she know I would one day start my own tequila brand and have way too many margaritas at my fingertips.”
