Hollywood legend Glenn Close went bare-faced in her recent Instagram post and asked fans to “ignore the bruises” as she just got her nose fixed. “I think this is going to be a particularly GOOD day. Feeling beautiful as ever,” she wrote.
The 76-year-old made funny faces to the camera and left her gray short hair tousled as she looked delighted. Her comments were soon flooded with fans’ thoughts and well-wishes for her quick recovery. Netflix’s Emily In Paris actress Lily Collins wrote, “Omg, love you.”

A lady named Suzie was impressed by Glenn’s choice to go natural as a famous woman, which is unlike many in Hollywood. “If only more women these days would emulate this gorgeous woman MORE than the plastic and botoxed. We need more of HER!” she wrote. “I’m glad you’re well. Take care of yourself. If you’re joking like that, then luckily, you feel good. I love your humor and you,” another quipped.
Though nearing her 80s, Glenn continues to work and is currently starring alongside Maisie Williams, John Malkovich, and Ben Mendelsohn in the new Apple TV+ series— The New Look. Glenn admitted to accepting the gig for another chance to work with executive producer Todd A. Kessler after their time on Damages. “The truth is, I would do anything for Todd after experiencing his brilliance as a writer/director/collaborator on ‘Damages,” she confessed, adding that she was “thrilled when he asked me to step into the daunting shoes of Carmel Snow in ‘The New Look.’”
Busier than ever, she is also set to co-star with Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz in Back In Action and the horror film The Deliverance. On aging, Glenn has learned to embrace the changes she “always felt that my body is not really who I am.”
“I look out in the world and I feel like I’m looking out in the world with the energy of somebody in their 20s, and that’s who I am,” the film legend said in an old interview.
