Goldie Hawn Discusses Rocky Relationship With Famous Ex-Boyfriend

Goldie Hawn is known for her roles in many Hollywood hit movies, such as The First Wives Club and There’s a Girl in My Soup, as well as her long-lasting relationship with Kurt Russell. Behind all of that, Goldie has had her share of challenging marriages and messy divorces, which she spoke about in a recent chat.

Goldie was married twice — first to dancer and filmmaker Gus Trikonis and then to musician Bill Hudson before finding love with Kurt. She was courted by a few other lovers who hardly stayed, including “a Swede” who got tired of their bond. “He was a really good guy, but he made me crazy!” she quipped.

While discussing the significance of saunas in every home she has lived in over the years, Goldie explained that she “really would go to the sauna” where “it was quiet, it was warm, I was completely alone” to be alone from her Swedish ex. “He’d say, ‘Goldie, you’re just tired,’ and I’d say, ‘I’m just tired…I’m just tired of us!’” she recalled.

She also recounted their silly argument points where she’d say, “I’m sorry, you play the same number on the piano over and over and over and over, you laugh at ‘The Flintstones,’ this isn’t working for me.” Her recollection was met with giggles from Armchair Expert podcast’s host, Dax Shepard, who asked when it all happened.

Goldie revealed she dated this mystery man in the “swinging ‘70s,” easily raising speculations that he may have been Swedish actor Bruno Wintzell. They both starred in the 1974 movie The Girl From Petrovka and were reportedly dated from 1973 to 1975. In the summer of 1975, she met her second husband Bill and they welcomed two children— Kate and Oliver in their marriage.

Bruno was popular as an opera singer and musical theater performer in his home country; however, he passed away in 2002 after a battle with cancer. Goldie recalled traveling with him from Norway to Ingrid Bergman and Lars Schmidt’s home on the West Coast of Sweden, where they enjoyed the couple’s sauna and took a cold plunge right afterward.
