Using AI, someone created a ‘50s version of The Simpsons with the film looking like it was shot using a super PanaVision 70 camera. They also did a similar remake with South Park, Family Guy, Breaking Bad, Futurama, and Fallout. The creatives often post their creations to YouTube and receive varying reactions from viewers for their work.

Their recent AI remake was posted a few days ago and has since gotten over 346,000 views and 11,000 likes.

Thousands of viewers watched The Simpsons AI version and shared their thoughts on the one-minute-long clip in the comments. “This is the kind of dream you have in that split second between sleep and consciousness. That dream you forget five seconds after waking up,” someone wrote. “Saw the thumbnail and thought it was ‘Breaking Bad’ lmao,” another noted.

Many subscribers picked apart the characters in an attempt to describe what they looked like. “This Krusty looks tenfold more terrifying than all versions of Joker and Pennywise combined,” a viewer exclaimed. “Mr Burns looks like he’s about to annihilate an entire planet,” some other person pointed out. A viewer wished “we could have seen Grandpa Abe, Selma, and Patty, Mr. Smithers, Lenny, Carl, Principal Skinner, The Comic Book Guy, Snake, and Chief Wiggums.”

The creators of deep fake The Simpsons also have over 60 other videos of AI movies, including a “Harry Potter for Balenciaga” clip. “You just created a 2 million dollar ad for probably less than 10 bucks,” a viewer reacted. “The leap from ai generated images to ai generated moving images was inevitable but still astonishing,” someone else gushed.

The creator, coined demonflyingfox on YouTube, describes their page as a platform “to show what is possible with AI.”

“People in the ‘50s would burn the theater down if they saw a faithful live action ‘South Park,’” a fan joked, referring to the AI version of the famous 26-season animated series South Park.
