Christina Applegate attended the 75th Emmy Awards ceremony with her 12-year-old daughter, Sadie Grace. Both ladies showed off their striking resemblance as they posed for a side-by-side photo in matching Dr. Martens boots.
Applegate wore a red velvet skirt suit while Sadie wore a black suit over a white button-down shirt. The actress held her cane for support due to multiple sclerosis, which she was diagnosed with in 2021. She shared photos from the event on her Instagram and received compliments from pleased fans.
It is not unusual to see Applegate and her girl, whom she shares with her husband, Martyn LeNoble. The mother-daughter duo were present at the SAG Awards last February and walked the red carpet together. The Anchorman alum wore a long velvet tuxedo dress with large lapels, while Sadie stunned in a black double-breasted suit.
A month before, they were at the Critics Choice Awards, where Sadie’s mom was nominated for best actress in a comedy series. Applegate also paid tribute to her character, Jen, as well as Linda Cardellini’s Judy with her manicure. She had on an all-black outfit, which her deep blue and gold nails complimented well. The ladies again wore matching Dr. Martens platforms as they did at the last ceremony.
Sadie was born in 2011, and Applegate described the experience as “just being in love.” When asked about the prospects of Sadie getting a sibling, Applegate admitted it was unlikely due to age and the sacrifices that come with parenting. “I’m 41 years old, and I don’t know if I could do the whole, like, not sleeping thing again,” she told Access Hollywood. “If I was 35, then maybe I’d have the energy, but there’s just, like, when I get up, it hurts.”
In 2016, the Bad Moms star took a break from work to raise Sadie, who was a five-year-old at the time.e; however, she stated her desire to return to filming, which she eventually did. “My first priority is my daughter. I’ve spent a full year not working, and I worked at her school,” she told ET. “I love it. I love it more than anything in the world. So, my focus has primarily been that for a while, but I will need to work again, and I do love acting.”
