John Travolta and his kids are spending Christmas right in the midst of the snow and the cold but none of them are feeling it thanks to the heartwarming memories they’re making. Over Christmas break, 69-year-old Travolta shared holiday wishes and sweet family pictures to celebrate the holiday.
Travolta is the proud father of two: 23-year-old Ella and 13-year-old Benjamin, whom he had with Kelly Preston. Sadly, this is the family’s third family without Preston, as the Jerry Maguire star passed away in 2020. The couple also shared son Jet, who also heartbreakingly died in 2009 at the age of just 16. Travolta has been working tirelessly over the years to protect the children as they grieve and ensure they have love, support, and reason to smile each day.

The post is accompanied by a picture of himself standing between Ben and Ella. Everyone is smiling while bundled against the chilly snow outside, with the siblings in a matching white winter set. Travolta, meanwhile, opted for a dark hat and snowsuit combination.
Some of Travolta’s 5.2 million Instagram followers wanted to know where the photo was taken, a query that remains unanswered but has a lot of people living in places free of snow expressing profound envy.
They also praised Travolta for the job he was doing continuing to raise Ella and Ben.
John Travolta not as a star but as a parent
Preston and Travolta enjoyed almost three decades together as a solid, inspiring couple before breast cancer took Preston’s life three summers ago. For how famous each actor is for their movie careers, in their personal lives, they were defined above all else by their passion for parenting.
“I’ve always wanted to be a mother, ever since I was 11,” said Preston in a 2011 chat with Health magazine. “I absolutely adore my kids. Johnny and I love them up constantly. Ella’s like, ‘Mom, ugh! Thank God you had Ben because now he can take some of the kisses.’” A poignant piece of wisdom preston had to pass on was “Don’t sweat the small things. Love your kids like it could be the last moment.”
Now, Travolta has taken up those reins, and his fans have nothing but praise for the job he’s been doing, while also contending with a loss that struck right at the heart of the small family.
“I see Kelly and I see you. Beautiful children. Beautiful Family,” one follower wrote in the comments. Another said, “It’s beautiful to see John Travolta showing his kids that a wonderful Christmas can [happen] anywhere they are as long as they are together. What a beautiful family.”
