Bindi Irwin Gushes Over Brother Robert’s Girlfriend Rorie In Loving Post

Bindi Irwin is feeling incredibly thankful for the people in her life – and those her loved ones call family too. The Crikey! It’s the Irwins star recently took to social media to pay tribute to her loved ones, sharing a sweet family snap and some words of appreciation for her brother’s sweetheart, Rorie Buckey.

19-year-old Robert Irwin was first spotted with Rorie back in November 2022. Rorie is the niece of Joker actor Heath Ledger, through her mom Kate, his sister. Robert made things official at the July 3 premiere of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. Here’s what Rorie means to the Irwin family, as told by Bindi.

Earlier this week, Bindi took to Instagram to share a sweet family photo starring all the important people in her life: husband Chandler, daughter Grace, mom Terri, brother Robert, his girlfriend Rorie, and more, everyone grinning from ear to ear at the camera.

“This group right here,” Bindi praised in the caption. “Grateful for every moment shared.” From there, she gave a shoutout to “My brother, @robertirwinphotography taking the selfie – The extrovert of our family, hilarious, and definitely on a giant non stop adventure in life.”

Bindi also gave a heartfelt shoutout to “My brother’s gorgeous girlfriend, @roriebuckey – Sweetest soul, beautiful friend, I love her dearly and you’ll usually see Grace just following her around because she adores her.”

The extended wildlife warrior family

Of course, Bindi was sure to dedicate plenty of time to her daughter, who she called “A little whirlwind of beautiful energy, inquisitive, wants to be outside 24/7, collects animal toys everywhere we go and is the light of our lives” along with Chandler, the “Strongest and kindest man I’ve ever known, always there for our family, best Dada to Grace, takes on any and every challenge and is up for each adventure life throws our way.”

But her family of wildlife warriors has grown over the years and these people are not connected by blood but by steadfast affection and loyalty. For instance, Bindi voiced her appreciation for Australia Zoo general manager Luke Reavley as well as creative services manager Mitch.

As for Rorie, she is Robert’s other half. When she shared news of their relationship on social media, she shared a sweet photo of the two of them arm in arm. Bindi replied to the post with, “Love this and love you!” Rorie has also called Robert her “adventure buddy,” confirming that the two share an intrepid spirit.
