The Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne recently got a new nickname from his fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024— Peter Frampton, who called him “the Betty White of Rock ‘n’ Roll.” He also expressed his excitement at the possibility of performing “Crazy Train” at the Rock Hall induction ceremony in October.

Peter finally got inducted into the Hall Of Fame after decades of being overlooked and he is very proud of his recent achievement. “My mind has been sort of a blur ever since I found out, especially since the announcement last night,” he said. “My phone hasn’t stopped blowing up since.”

Ozzy was initially eligible for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist in 2006 and got inducted via his band, Black Sabbath in the same year. However, he was not inducted on his own until recently. The 75-year-old has joined the leagues of multiple-time inductees like Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and the Beatles.

Known for his carefree lifestyle, Ozzy didn’t see the induction into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame as a “big deal,” until he started getting congratulatory messages from his neighbors, families, fans, and close friends who went all out to celebrate him.

For Frampton, the induction meant a great deal even though like his first Grammy, he already lost hope about joining legends in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame. “It’s something I never expected,” he said. “Because I was eligible so long ago, I kind of put it into the back of my mind.”

He also added that the achievement was well deserved because he never gave up on his career goals. Over the years Frampton has invested a lot into his music and strives to keep fans and audience happy with his music. As a testament to his relentless effort, the singer has refused to stop touring even as he battles with Inclusion Body Myositis— an inflammatory muscle disease that causes progressive muscle weakness.
