Actor Lou Ferrigno, known for his role as the Incredible Hulk in the late ‘70s, recently came forward to accuse his daughter of abusing her mother, Carla Ferrigno. The 71-year-old actor got married to Carla in 1980, and they welcomed three children— Shanna, Louis, and Brent.
According to legal documents, the actor filed a restraining order against Shanna, claiming she and her aunt have been “financially exploiting” his wife. He added that they worsened Carla’s “already advanced dementia” by emotionally and psychologically manipulating her.
Lou accuses his daughter of elder abuse
The actor claimed in his lawsuit that his first daughter took advantage of his wife’s condition to withdraw a huge sum of money and influence her against him. Lou, who has also been isolated from Carla, noted that he is in charge of the family’s trust and should oversee their finances as well.

Lou’s legal team stated that “on September 12, 2023, Shanna Ferrigno (Carla’s daughter) and Vog (Carla’s sister) drove Carla to Chase Bank attempting to withdraw $500,000, even though Carla has advanced dementia and has been medically determined to be unable to manage her affairs and in need of 24-7 care.”
He requests a court order to protect his wife’s money
Seeing the unfortunate event that occurred, Lou asked for a court order to prevent any withdrawals from Carla’s account without his consent. He also specified that “Neither Shanna nor Pam has any legal authority to direct financial withdrawals on Carla’s behalf. Thus, they must be restrained to prevent serious harm.”
While it is unlikely that Carla will respond to this issue due to her health challenge, Lou has handled the situation through legal means to “maintain the status quo and avoid financial harm to Carlotta Ferrigno.” The film star further revealed that the accused women became “unhinged” after he served them the paperwork, and have started “badgering Carla with lies” that he is trying to steal their money.
