Chloe Lattanzi Breaks Down In Tears As She Remembers Late Mother Olivia Newton-John

Olivia Newton-John became popular in the ’70s era with singles like “If You Love Me, Let Me Know,” and “Have You Never Been Mellow” which earned her four Grammy Awards. Newton-John transitioned into acting with her memorable portrayal of Sandy in the iconic blockbuster musical Grease, endearing her to movie audiences across generations.

Tragically, she passed away in August 2022 at 73 after a prolonged battle with breast cancer, which she was diagnosed with in 1992. Recently, the late actress’s only daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, has shared an emotional update about how she has been coping with her mother’s death.

The 37-year-old appeared on the Australian breakfast show Sunrise, where she discussed the forthcoming Olivia’s Walk for Wellness event billed to take place in Melbourne. During the discussion, Lattanzi was overwhelmed with emotions as she reflected on her late mom’s legacy.

“I’m sorry, it’s still raw for me. People I don’t even know have lifted me up and I have been able to engage with people going through cancer,” she admitted. “It’s an honour to continue the Walk for Wellness. There isn’t a greater purpose in life than to give to others and when I went through my mental illness I focused on connecting with people who were going through similar pain.”

Chloe’s Lattanzi reflects on her mother, Olivia Newton-John’s cheerful disposition throughout her diagnosis.

The singer also shed light on her late mother’s remarkable spirit during her challenging breast cancer journey. Despite her health battle, she fondly recalled how Newton-John exhibited an unwaveringly cheerful disposition and preached hope to other people suffering the same disease.

“Even when she was at the hardest part of the battle, she was still making it about others,” Latanzzi confessed. “The outpouring of people’s love is tangible. It’s still raw for me.”
