If there’s a birthday, there must be singing – and that’s exactly what Grace Warrior, two-year-old granddaughter of Steve and Terri Irwin, brought forth as her mom Bindi ushered in her 25th birthday. Bindi, who celebrated her birthday on July 24, enjoyed a day of family fun with her daughter and husband, Chandler Powell.
History repeats itself with Bindi and her family. Just as Steve and Terri met through the Australia Zoo, so too did Bindi and Chandler back in 2013. By 2019, the two were engaged and formally tied the knot in a private ceremony at the Australia Zoo in March 2020. A year later, on March 25, they welcomed Grace into the world.

On Monday, Chandler took to Instagram to honor Bindi. “Happy birthday to the most strong, kind, & beautiful person that I know,” he said in the captions. “Your kind heart is my favorite thing about you. I have new admiration for the strength you have mustered to find your new chapter of health. It’s been incredible to watch you blossom as you continue to improve each day. I love you. Grace loves you. You are our world.”

The post is accompanied by a video created by Powell and the Australia Zoo. The video acknowledges the eventful year Bindi has had and wanted to create something “special” for her. Staff members of the Australia Zoo all describe her as “beautiful” and how much of a role model she is. But perhaps the most charming part is when Grace sings “Happy Birthday” to Bindi, with some help from Chandler, as at one point, Grace thinks she’s singing to the kangaroo in the background.
“Happy birthday, dear kangaroo,” Grace cheered, before Chandler corrected her, “We’re singing it to mumma, not kangaroo!”
A time of reflection for all
At just 25, Bindi has already undergone a lot. Just recently, Bindi had contended with endometriosis, an experience that inspired her to urge others to advocate for themselves and make sure they focus on their health.
“You can’t take no for an answer because a lot of times I know I found it for 10 years,” she said. “You feel so defeated when you can’t find an answer. And it’s really scary.”
Her strength has, indeed, inspired others, and it is that inner beauty that many are celebrating on her birthday. Her brother Robert also took to social media to say, “Happy birthday @bindisueirwin
Thank you for being the best big sister, and someone who I will always look up.” Over on Twitter, mom Terri praised, “It is wonderful to celebrate 25 years of your amazing achievements, your kind and loving heart, and your ability to make the world a better place every single day. Today is the best! I love you so very much now, and forever & ever.”
Happy 25th birthday to the top kangaroo, Bindi Irwin!
