On top of being a former co-host of Today, Kathie Lee Gifford is also a very proud grandmother. Her family recently welcomed a new member into the fold, newborn baby Finn, and Gifford is already having a great time bonding with the little one.
Finn is the son of Gifford’s daughter Cassidy Gifford Wierda with husband Ben Wierda. The two married in June 2020 and on June 23 of this year, Finn was born. Gifford’s son Cody and his wife Erika already have a child and they recently announced they’re expecting their second kid in the near future; Gifford is going to have a lot to do as a grandmother!

On Friday, Gifford took to Instagram to share a sweet picture of herself lovingly holding baby Finn. “So blessed to spend the afternoon with my precious little Finn,” Gifford captioned the post. The accompanying picture shows her on a couch with plenty of cushioning and blankets to prop her and the baby up while she cradles Finn.

Gifford’s shirt appears to read “mama,” while Finn is wearing a powder blue top. Two weeks ago, she had also shared a similar photo, this time on a different couch, with a caption that reads, “What a joy to spend sweet time with baby FINN. I am the most blessed of women. It seems! Happy Fourth of July everybody.”
Exciting news for the Gifford family
Gifford had her two children, Cody and Cassidy, with her second husband, Frank Gifford; she was his third marriage. With a 23-year age gap between them, Frank died of natural causes at the age of 84 back in 2015.
Cody was reportedly in love with Erika for quite some time before the two tied the knot in 2020 with a private ceremony in which “just parents and siblings were in attendance,” a source told People. On May 31, 2022, the couple welcomed baby Frank, named in honor of Cody’s late father.
Cassidy similarly had a private ceremony of her own, based in Michigan, when she married Ben. Cassidy and Ben – who were childhood friends, then threw a bigger ceremony in Nashville later that year.
Congratulations to the big, happy family!
