Vanna White is wishing her son, Nikko Santo Pietro, a happy 29th birthday. White, herself 66, shares Nikko with her ex-husband George Santo Pietro, to whom she was married from 1990 to 2002. Mom and son have a lot to celebrate, as Nikko is also a proud graduate of OSU.
White became a household name when she was appointed letter-turner on Wheel of Fortune in the early ’80s. White immediately won over audiences and became as synonymous with the program as host Pat Sajak, and her revolving wardrobe of dazzling dresses something of an unofficial Wheel of Fortune uniform. Here’s the latest on her family, as White herself prepares for a new stage in her career.

Earlier this week, White took to Instagram to share a photo of her son Nikko, along with a celebratory message full of love and gratitude. “‘Happy 29th Birthday’ to the most amazing son a mother could ever have,” she gushed. “I love you! ❤️ @nikkoshow.”

A few short hours later, Nikko responded gratefully, “Love you mom.” White and George also share daughter Giovanna “Gigi” Santo Pietro, who was born in ’97.
White’s family has long been connected to her career with Wheel of Fortune, though unfortunately, this trend began on a tragic note. White became pregnant back in ’92 and a Wheel of Fortune answer contained, “Vanna’s pregnant.” Sadly, however, White miscarried shortly after that episode’s taping.

While White has a son and daughter, host Pat Sajak also has a son, Patrick, who earned his doctorate in 2021 and a daughter, Maggie, who is a country singer and runs the game show’s social media accounts. With Sajak announcing his retirement, leadership is expected to shuffle, but one thing is certain: the Sajak and White families seem to have combined into one.
Both Sajak and Maggie have sent Nikko words of congratulations and support in the past, and Nikko and Maggie have bonded through their association with Wheel of Fortune. “We have known each other my whole life,” said Maggie when she interviewed Nikko for the show’s social media page. Nikko agreed, noting, “It’s been a long time.”
