Christopher Knight was born on November 7, 1957, to immigrant parents in New York City and his interest in acting career formed from a very young age. He had his first appearance in 1955 in one episode of Gunsmoke and, in 1964, featured in Another World as Leigh Hobson. He also had a short stint on Mannix in 1967.
The 65-year-old got his breakthrough role at the age of 12 when he was cast as Peter Brady in the highly successful TV series The Brady Bunch in 1969. The show was aired for five seasons until it was canceled in 1974.
Christopher Knight was still into acting after ‘The Brady Bunch’
Following the conclusion of The Brady Bunch, Knight continued as an actor all through the 70s to the 90s with several credits for projects such as The Brady Kids (1972), Happy Days (1974), Valentine Magic on Love Island (1980), and Good Girls Don’t (1993).

Additionally, he was cast in the TV movie The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time in 2018, and was also featured alongside his Brady Bunch co-stars in the Lifetime Christmas movie Blending Christmas in 2021. Knight revealed to People that he took up the role in Blending Christmas to get together with his colleagues. “I say yes to projects that we’re all in, not just because of the project, but because it’s an opportunity to catch up and have fun again,” he told the outlet. “Every time we get together, it’s like no time has passed.”
The Brady Bunch alum has also been on some reality shows, including The Surreal Life in 2005, where he met his third wife, Adrianne Curry, who won America’s Next Top Model. The couple started their own show, My Fair Brady, which aired from 2005 to 2008, though their marriage ended in divorce in 2012. In 2019, he also had a reunion with his Brady Bunch siblings for the HGTV series, A Very Brady Renovation.
Christopher Knight ventured into some other businesses
He also forayed into computer programming after landing a job as a computer sales rep in the late ’80s. In an interview with PopEntertainment.com in 2008, Knight revealed that learning programming was fun for him. “I got a job as a rep in the computer industry selling peripherals,” he said. “It was a great learning experience, and I became an expert on the video side of things. I took to it like a duck to water. It sort of was a passion of mine. I mean, I’m sort of a geek, really.”
Knight is currently a partner in the furniture brand Christopher Knight Home, a business established by one of his high school friends and later changed to his name. He talked about the business when chairs from his company were used during Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. “It was a pleasant surprise, and shocking in the income that came our way just because of them sitting in the chairs,” he disclosed to People. “You would’ve thought the importance of that interview would’ve overshadowed the chair!”
Christopher Knight co-hosts a podcast
In 2022, Knight joined a host of other TV stars in making podcasts centered around their shows, this one alongside his Brady Bunch costar, Barry Williams, who played Greg on the series. The two actors host The Real Brady Bros, where they recap each episode of the TV show and also share details of behind-the-scenes moments.
Knight revealed to ABC7 Los Angeles in February 2022 that the reason for the podcast is to give the audience information about the episodes straight from the horse’s mouth. “We’re experts in being Brady,” he told the news outlet. “Our view of us over 50-some odd years is a little different than our audience’s. They know us from the show. Our recollections of those episodes aren’t what theirs are.”
