Mariah Carey makes it her business to get involved in all things Christmas, while the Radio City Rockettes have kicked their way into the holiday cultural zeitgeist since the ’30s. So, a team-up between these two forces is only natural. In a new Instagram video, fans of both can see Carey perform right alongside the Rockettes in a new post!
Known formally as the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes, the annual performance features precision dancers held to very high standards. For those able to see a performance, it is a New York holiday tradition. This season, they have an integral role in Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas To All!

Last week, Carey took to Instagram to share exciting news and a festive photo. “A dream come true,” she revealed in the caption. “Thank you @therockettes for sharing the stage with me on my show @thegarden! Tune in to #MerryChristmasToAll on @cbstv 12/20 @ 8pm.” The accompanying photo shows Carey all smiles – and all legs – as she performs in the midst of the Rockettes.

Carey ascended the stage at Madison Square Garden on December 13 in front of thousands of spectators for a Christmas-themed concert. Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas To All! also airs on CBS and is available to stream on Paramount+ by Tuesday 8 pm ET.
A concert for the ages
Carey has had some famous collaborations and this latest concert’s greatness didn’t end with the Rockettes. Carey was joined by Drew Barrymore, Billy Porter, her longitme collaborator Jermaine Dupri, and Slick Rick. Of course, the evening was not complete without Carey belting out her chart-topping “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” In fact, regarding this Christmas hit, Porter told her, “No one flies like a bird like you, Ms. Mariah Carey,” while holding a plaque listing the astronomical numbers it has reached.
Carey’s Madison Square Garden ended up completely selling out for two nights. It was an occasion of festive fun and joy, especially considering all the cancellations the Rocketts had to do in years past because of the pandemic. But perhaps most heartfelt of them all was when Carey’s daughter Monroe came out and sang a duet of “Away in a Manger” with her mom.
