The British princes and their wives’ walkabout at the Windsor castle came as a surprise to the public as the last time the quartet made a joint appearance was in 2020. Many think the move could help bridge the rift between the two brothers; however, the royal photographer, Arthur Edwards, thinks it’s just a publicity stunt.
Besides, he believes the act is needed during this delicate time to take the attention off Meghan Markle but on King Charles and Queen Elizabeth’s death. Kensington Palace revealed that Prince Williams invited Prince Harry and Meghan to go on the walk with them because it was originally planned for the Prince and Princess of Wales. The walkabout “was an important show of unity at an incredibly difficult time for the family,” a royal source revealed.

The royal photographer shed more light on the warm receptiveness of the royal family towards Meghan Markle in an interview with Piers Morgan, “When the Prince [Charles] said he loved Harry and Meghan in his speech, that shook me as well. Then when Meghan got out of the car [during the walkabout], I was amazed.” He continued, “But obviously William has got to do something about it. He spoke to his brother and said, ‘Let’s make a combined effort here.’”
