American actress Christina Hendricks has been a subject of online criticism after posting a video showing a remodeled craftsman-style home built in 1908. The actress purchased the house about two years ago with the sole intent of revamping the building.
Prior to the renovation, the Primetime Emmy Award winner shared on her Instagram page that she would contract the remodeling of the house to Linda Koopersmith of Beverly Hills Organizer, who will give the building that was marked to be demolished a facelift. Also, she promised to share the details of the reconstruction process with her lovely 1.1 million IG followers.

Mixed reactions trail Christina Hendricks’s Post
However, the post has garnered a lot of mixed reactions. The actress is displeased with fans who took to her comment section to bash her effort and those who are insinuating that she is “ruining a historic home.”
One person asked in an attacking tone, “So basically you’re going to wreck this lovely old house?” and another mocked, “That old laundry shoot.” This response got Hendricks in a defensive mode as she weighed in on the comments, “I have so lovingly been bringing this home back to life after years of neglect and a makeover in the 1980s. I’m a true lover of old homes and their charms and have done everything in my power to keep all the old historical touches.”
Hendricks continued, “It breaks my heart to see comments that I’m ruining an old home. This house was going to be sold to a developer to knock down and put multi units on, so I’m so pleased to save an old 1908 craftsman. I found this Stunning @americh.corp #bow bathtub that is beautifully retro and fit in the style of the house. And these stunning @franzviegener faucets and towel rods just sparkle! @beverlyhillsorganizer.”
Interestingly, fans have gathered to support the actress, penning down kind words and praising her for the great work she put into making a beautiful home, “Looks wonderful!! You’re doing an amazing job, ignore the haters. 💖.” Another fan offered the star a piece of advice, “Honey, what you’re doing in your new house is WONDERFUL! Every detail is exquisite and shows your good taste. Don’t listen to comments from people who are very bored and enjoy doing damage. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the house. I LOVE YOU!”
