Joy Behar Seems Excited About Meghan McCain’s Replacement On ‘The View’

Joy Behar excited about newcomer on The View

The View has some new faces! 33-year-old Alyssa Farah Griffin and 50-year-old Ana Navarro have joined as the newest conservative panelists. They are replacing conservative panelist Meghan McCain, who quit last August. She said that co-host Joy Behar and her comments were her reason for quitting the talk show.

Now, 78-year-old Joy admitted that she is excited about the new faces, especially Alyssa’s. She doesn’t think she will butt heads with her as much as she did with Meghan, despite them having similar conservative views.

Joy said, “Alyssa’s got a whole different personality. So I think it will be smoother, frankly. I mean, I like both of them but I think this girl is going to do very well.” She added that she gave them some advice before joining full-time.

She explained, “I was a broken record for a long time because I say this show is a volleyball game, it’s not a golf game. So if you know to hit the ball and then wait for it to come back at you and all that, you’ll be fine. That’s the only advice I ever give anybody, really.”

Alyssa has also shared her excitement about joining the show. She said, “Now, I am here to just join this table, hopefully, bring a different perspective. Listen, it’s going to get sporty sometimes, but I adore you women. And I’m so excited for it. I’m ready for it. If there’s one thing I believe, there’s more that unites this country than divides it. And I think that we can demonstrate at this table what our elected leaders can’t, which is disagreeing, doing so respectively, doing so in a fact-based manner. We don’t need any of these conspiracy and lies that have taken over the news. Thank you ladies and thank you to the whole View team.”
