Popeyes is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a very special deal for its customers! When Popeyes opened in New Orleans back in 1972, it sold chicken for less than a dollar. Of course, prices have gone up as the years went by. Now, for a limited time only, they are selling two pieces of their bone-in chicken for 59 cents. This is the same price Popeyes charged back in 1972.
Popeyes is best known for its southern-style chicken and sides like red beans, biscuits, and rice. The discount is going on now until June 19. Customers who want the deal should use the Popeyes app or go to Popeyes.com. To get chicken for 59 cents, you must spend a minimum of $5. If you’re in Los Angeles, the minimum must be $10. The offer cannot be applied to delivery orders.

Popeye boasts Cajun flavors that originate from Louisiana. They batter and bread the chicken by hand and marinate every piece for 12 hours to get that signature juiciness and crunch.
