Hayley Mills is best known for being a child star in several Disney films. She appeared in iconic movies such as Pollyanna and The Parent Trap in the ’60s. More recently, she wrote a memoir and shared never-before-heard stories from growing up in the spotlight, including going on a date with one member of The Beatles.
Hayley said that she met the band twice in 1963 and 1964. Hayley needed an escort to a Red Cross charity function in 1964 and her mother called George Harrison! He was Hayley’s favorite member of the band and he agreed to go with her to the event.

Even though George was her favorite, she said that all of the band members were “charismatic, special and different.” Hayley said she remembers the night she went on a date with George fondly even though they were mobbed by screaming fans! It sounds like despite the distractions that they had a wonderful time together.

Once, George even revealed that the night was “one of his favorite memories,” which proved he had just as great of a time with Hayley. Can you imagine being able to say that you went on a date with one of The Beatles? Which one would you like to go out with?
While Hayley is now 75 years old, sadly, George passed away in 2001 when he was only 58 years old. He passed away from lung cancer, just two years after surviving a knife attack by an intruder.
