Harrington lived a pretty normal life for the most part. Finished his schooling and even taught at the University of Hawaii. It wasn’t until 1972 that he would debut his role as Detective Ben Kokua on the CBS television series Hawaii Five-0. However, this wasn’t his acting debut in total – he had also appeared in several episodes of earlier seasons as other characters since 1969.
