Christina Applegate moves forward with MS diagnosis
Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition. It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some asshole blocks it.

MS affects the central nervous system and is also known as an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks its own healthy cells. While there is no cure for MS, many of those are able to manage it and adapt to new lifestyle changes after the diagnosis.
While researchers believe that the disease is the result of both environmental and genetic factors, the underlying cause is not known. CNN reports that more than 2.3 million people have a diagnosis of MS worldwide. Additionally, nearly 1 million people over the age of 18 live with a diagnosis of MS in the US. Applegate is also no stranger to health issues as she made the courageous decision to remove both her breasts in 2008 in a double mastectomy.
