Jennifer Aniston Lashes Out At Ageism Compliment ‘I can’t stand it’

Jennifer Aniston is an advocate for equality and women’s empowerment and has always been vocal about the need for a shift in the way society perceives and values women while focusing on their talents, contributions, and the depth of their characters rather than reducing them to mere age or physical appearances.

Recently, the actress expressed her frustration towards individuals who compliment her solely based on her age. The 54-year-old explained to British Vogue that although accolades such as “you look good for your age” appeal to people, she sees it as a demeaning remark. “It drives me bananas. I can’t stand it,” Aniston admitted to the news outlet. “That’s a habit of society that we have these markers like, ‘Well you’re at that stage, so for your age…’ I don’t even understand what it means.”

You had to get 45 minutes to an hour of cardio; otherwise, you weren’t getting a workout,” she confessed. “Not only do you stress your body, you burn out – who wants to do that at all?”

The actress revealed in an earlier interview with InStyle that her rigorous workout routines ultimately led to physical strain and injuries. “When you’re in a mindset of, ‘I need to do 45 minutes of cardio, or I won’t get a good workout,’ it’s daunting,” she told the news outlet. “I believed it for so long. I just burnt out and broke my body.”
