Amy Grant recently underwent open-heart surgery earlier this month and is sharing her recovery process online. The 59-year-old had surgery on June 3rd to fix a condition called PAPVR. This stands for partial anomalous pulmonary venous return. According to UW Health, this is when \u00a0"one or two of the pulmonary veins returns blood to the right atrium instead of the left atrium."\r\n\r\n"The only way I can explain my experience would be to ask you to imagine a non-runner who was signed up for a marathon. I didn\u2019t want it, but I had to have it anyway and it was a week ago Wednesday," Grant says on Instagram. She reveals that many people in her life, from both her present and past, reached out to say they were praying for her and wishing her well. "And so I want to say thank you to each person who said a prayer for me. Prayer changes everything.
