Cher is embroiled in an ongoing legal battle with her son, Elijah Blue Allman. The singer has filed for conservatorship over Elijah after his alleged recent substance abuse issues. Her other son, Chaz Bono, has kept a low profile in the wake of this legal battle but recently made a rare public appearance. Cher, often stylized as the Goddess of Pop, shares Chaz with fellow entertainer Sonny Bono from their marriage that lasted from '64 to '75. Photographers saw him step out of a car door he closed behind him while holding a travel bottle. Similarly, Chaz's partner, Shara Blue Mathes, was spotted that same day running her own errands. She was dressed in a baseball cap, a black vest over a blue button-up shirt, and camo pants. The filing also argues, "Elijah is entitled to regular distributions from the Trust, but given his ongoing mental health and substance abuse issues, is concerned that any funds distributed to Elijah will be immediately spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself and putting Elijah’s life at risk."
