For the very first time, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were accompanied by their two teen daughters on the red carpet. The event, held on April 27, was to honor Kidman at the 49th AFI Lifetime Achievement Award Gala.
Together, Kidman and Urban share daughters Sunday Rose, 15, and Faith Margaret, 13; Kidman also adopted daughter Isabella and son Connor while married to Tom Cruise. Urban’s website shares that the couple was “very, very blessed and grateful” to welcome Sunday into their lives, and they were thankful to welcome Faith via gestational surrogacy; her name derives from the hope the couple maintained having another child.

Kidman wore her signature blonde hair loose, framing her face; the look coordinated remarkably with her shimmering gold dress that dazzled the eye with every movement. Her daughters, meanwhile, wore floor-length dresses in vivid red and orange.
They were joined by more members of Kidman’s family, including her sister Antonia Kidman, Antonia’s husband Craig Marran, nieces Lucia and Sybella Hawley, and nephew Alexander Kidman Marran.

In celebration of the big evening for so many of Kidman and Urban’s family, from their daughters at their red carpet debut to Kidman winning the momentous honor, at the ceremony, Urban made a speech celebrating his wife of almost 20 years. In particular, he paid homage to the thriving family unit they formed together and expressed what a delight it is seeing his beloved wife be a mother; he called this experience “one of the most beautiful things.”
