Vanna White achieved fame and success as the co-host of Wheel of Fortune. However, before now, she briefly appeared on The Price Is Right in hopes of winning something. She showed up wearing a statement light blue T-shirt that read “Get Serious” in the 1980 episode which Bob Barker hosted.
Vanna shared the throwback footage on Instagram last year as a tribute to Barker while thanking him for introducing her to the game show world. “We will miss you,” she wrote. The TV personality got her moment when the late show host got her on stage, though it did not end well.

Sadly, Vanna did not win any prizes on The Price Is Right, but her life changed two years after that moment as she landed her longtime co-hosting gig on Wheel of Fortune. Decades later, she graced the 50th-anniversary special of The Price Is Right and reminisced about her experience.
Fans were delighted to see 23-year-old Vanna in the game show footage on YouTube, noting that she was a stunning young lady in her prime. “That lady was turning heads way before she started turning letters. Simply perfect,” someone gushed.
Vanna White thanks Pat Sajak for her success
Vanna has lasted longer on Wheel of Fortune than the former longtime host Pat Sajak, who retired this year after season 41. Vanna credits Sajak for her success as the game show’s letter-turner, noting that he made her comfortable and confident enough to be who she is today.
While the 67-year-old is currently co-hosting Wheel Of Fortune with Ryan Seacrest, she is set to make her exit after two extra seasons. Like old times, Vanna is working with Sajak again on the ongoing Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune, which will be their last show together.
