It has been 34 years since Macaulay Culkin became a child star thanks to his role as Kevin McAllister in the holiday classic Home Alone. The 44-year-old has had a busy December hitting different cities in the US for his holiday tour, featuring meet and greets, screenings of Home Alone, Q & A sessions, and more.
Last week, fans arrived at the Rosemont Theater on the outskirts of Chicago for A Nostalgic Night With Macaulay Culkin, some wearing T-shirts that read, “Keep the change ya filthy animal,” from John Hughes’s script.

Culkin’s event attracted people of all ages, proving its timeless acclaim and relevance decades later. Parents arrived with thick blankets and stuffed toys for their little children, many of whom were watching Home Alone for the first time.
Fans also got the chance to see and pose in front of the Winnetka III on Lincoln Avenue, where the exterior shots of the classic were filmed. The 5-bedroom large brick home sold for about $5 million only a week after it went on sale this year, and the owner did not seem to mind the constant visits and attention from tourists.
Macaulay Culkin gave ‘Home Alone’ fans a good show
Culkin arrived on the stage with the moderator and asked those in attendance if they did not mind feeling old. He then told them his age, making them reflect on how much time had passed since seeing the cute 10-year-old take down burglars on screen for the first time.
