Singer-songwriter Alice Cooper had an unforgettable encounter with the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll Elvis Presley in the early ‘70s. Alice was at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas, where Elvis was also lodged on the top floor with his entourage when he got summoned over.
Actress Liza Minnelli and porn star Linda Lovelace were also present in the hotel room, which Alice was only allowed into after a thorough check for firearms. Elvis handed the rocker a “snub 32” gun, which Alice admitted he could have fired.
What happened between Elvis Presley and Alice Cooper?
After making it past Elvis’ security team, Alice saw the room full of guns, and Elvis took him into the kitchen. In one of the drawers, there were even more of them, among which Elvis pulled out the loaded pistol and handed it to Alice.
Alice recalled being dumbfounded as he feared one of Elvis’s bodyguards might show up at that moment and shoot him for pointing a pistol at their boss. Alice confessed to having intrusive thoughts about firing the gun to make history as the man who killed Elvis; however, he thought about just wounding him instead to avoid severe consequences.

Aside from the teachable moment, Alice and Elvis had mutual admiration for each other’s craft. Alice once revealed that Elvis loved his style of shocking audiences, adding that he looked up to the music legend back then. The 76-year-old released multiple albums this year, including a deluxe version of Muscle of Love from 1973.
